maps and guidebooks in the bookcase for trails in the Wet
Mtns. and Sangre
de Cristo Wilderness.
Walk out the front door onto part of the
Colorado Birding Trail. Other habitats (prairie, montane forest,
boreal forest, grassland, riparian, tundra) can be found nearby.
Jack's Cabin is in big-game unit 84 and close to units 581, 69, 86, and
861. The Mountain Meadows Ranching for Wildlife property is close by.

"craziest castle in America" has been built by one man a few
miles south of Jack's Cabin. It is open to visitors and a special
site for weddings and other festivities.
